The Edge has a highly competitive dance team. We compete with the best, we learn from the best, and we challenge our dancers to be their best...accept no less. We believe that family and school come first and require minimal rehearsal time. That said...we expect competitive dancers to attend each and every rehearsal, to be on time, and to put 100 percent into their time in the studio. In order to compete at the level at which we do, we can accept no excuses.

We are strictly HIP HOP. At The Edge, there are no requirements for other forms of dance. There is no experience required. Some of our best dancers came to us with no prior dance experience. We start at age 3 and continue on through adulthood. We do not kick you to the curb when you turn 18. As a matter of fact, some of our top dancers are in their 20's. We are a skill based organization. No one is ever held back due to their age.

We refuse to be a 'dance factory' with hundreds of dancers that we will never get to know. Our dancers get one on one attention by trained, professional dancers. You will never see a 'child' teaching our classes...strictly adult professionals. Our choreography is based around our dancers. We do not have 'cookie cutter' routines that we try to piece our dancers into. All choreography is original and created specifically for each dancer. We have one choreographer...Darcy R. Kuenzel...who was recently presented with an Outstanding Choreographer award from Cris Judd. Our choreography is challenging and requires the dancers to focus. We expect a lot. We work hard and it pays off.

We have always had tremendous support from our community and teach our dancers to take pride and get involved in community events. We hold 2 major fundraisers each year at which thousands of dollars are raised to aid local families in need and international causes.

Family involvement in our organization is what makes us who we are. WE ARE ONE TEAM. Whether you are on the Show Troupes or the Competitive Troupes, from our youngest dancer to our oldest, regardless of ability or any other difference, we are ONE. We all work together and we demand respect and tolerance for all.

Most importantly, WE HAVE FUN! We have Team dinners and organized time for our dancers to get to know one another. We do FUNdrasisng to buffer the expenses for the Competitive Troupes, *see fundraising, and we have open studio for dancers to come in and be creative and share their ideas and skills. We love what we do...we think that you will too! Join us...we are on the cutting Edge!!

We are an EXCLUSIVELY HIP HOP company. Our style of hip hop is STREET. Real HIP HOP! We offer classes in Hip Hop, Breakdancing, Stomp (Step), Reggaeton (Latin Hip Hop), and Krump for kids beginning at age 3. We also offer adult classes. All classes are taught by adult professional award winning dancers and choreographers. Hip Hop is based on natural rhythmic movements, and tends to be learned very quickly. It's great exercise and it's fun.

For those who are interested in competing, we are very confident in our ability to teach. So if you have the dedication and drive to train with the best, compete with the best, and learn from the best, then we are looking for you! The Edge trains and dances with the worlds top dancers and most accomplished dance professionals, such as Tyce Diorio, Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Shane Sparks, NappyTabs (Napoleon & Tabitha), Dan Karody, Mandy Moore, Brian Friedman, Lauren Gottlieb (all from "So Ya Think You Can Dance"), Barry Youngblood and Nick Florez (both currently touring with Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and JLo), just to name a few. Our dancers have danced with such names as Cris Judd, Dave Scott, Laurie-Ann Gibson (from P-Diddy's Making The Band), Eddie Garcia, Paula Abdul, Nancy O'Meara, Rob Hoffmann (You Got Served), and many others. Additionally, we perform at many local venues and events. We are more than just a dance team. We are a group of individuals that come together for the love of dance. We love what we do and it reflects in our skills!
