Our competitive crews are comprised of some of our top dancers. We attend several conventions and competitions around the country. Being a competitive dancer requires a lot of dedication and commitment. The entire crew counts on each and every dancer to be at EVERY practice. We require only one hour of practice per week for each piece (practices are stepped up just before competition), but expect everyone to show up ready to dance, and not waste the limited time we have.
Competitive dancers will perform at local events in addition to competitions, and are required to travel to competitions. If this sounds like too much of a commitment, check out our Show Crews.
Being a competitive dancer is not cheap, though we do all we can to keep expenses to a minimum. Compared to most other competitive teams, our costs are extremely reasonable. Expenses include but are not limited to: Tuition, Convention and Competition fees, Costumes, Hotel, and Travel Expenses.
We bundle these expenses in an "all inclusive tuition", to avoid lump sums of money being due all at once. What this means, is we divide the expenses over the length of the year, and charge them as part of your monthly tuition.
The actual monthly "all inclusive tuition" will vary depending on how many pieces you are in.
We will definitely be competing at the Co.Dance regional competition in Orlando in February, which includes convention with and judging from some of the most accomplished dance professionals in the world. Depending on this years location, and how we do at regional, we may also be attending the national competition, which is usually the end of June.
